Dream Girl

Encaustic with embedded photo of Mary Cassatt image, 12” x 9 “,  2019

A classic Mary Cassatt subject…and a famous painting. A print of the central image, the little girl, was cut out and place on an encaustic monotype, embedded and enhanced with pigment stick. The final layer is cold wax which gives the painting a matte finish.
